The 2018 World Dog Expo unleashed the world’s most unique experience for dog lovers with celebrity guests, America’s Got Talent’s Sara Carson and Animal Planet’s Shorty Rossi.
World Dog Expo, which took place on June 9th and 10th at the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, New Jersey exceeded this year’s expectations. With over 13,000 tickets sold, 149 vendor booths—most of which highlighted dog products, 18 animal rescues with adoptable dogs, six different sports for attending dogs to participate in and educational seminars.
World Dog Expo boasted some of the dog industry’s most recognizable celebrities such as Sara Carson and Hero from America’s Got Talent, Shorty Rossi from Animal Planet’s Pitt Boss, Deirdre Franklin from Pinups for Pitbulls, and the Dogfather Joey Villani.
The show also featured the second annual Rescue Honor Awards that took place during the expo. Eight highly deserving rescues, volunteers and dogs were awarded for their hard work and dedication in saving the lives of animals. The evening was filled with laughter, heartfelt emotion and an overwhelming sense of accomplishment from everyone who attended.
The show also included a lure course, pet talent auditions, Felix the Pug from Disney’s K9 Undercover, Beasley from Chewy.com, OPAWZ Tattoo and Jewel Station for Your Pooch, Doggy Gyms, the Tito’s BarkEasy, Hogs 4 Paws motorcycle Rescue Ride and so much more!
Plans are already being made for expanding next year’s World Dog Expo. Mark your calendars for June 1st and 2nd, 2019 at the Meadowlands Expo Center.
World Dog Expo is a spectacular event that celebrates dogs everywhere in a large–scale, cutting edge multimedia format. With multiple stages, attendees enjoy caliber events, such as dock diving, disc dog, lure coursing and weight pulling just to name a few.
The World Dog Experience provides opportunities for dogs and their human parents to participate together in sports, education, training and other bonding experiences. Also, the show works to promote dog rescue, fostering and adoption.
